Events and plans

• Every listing links to the organizer's own page, and that page is the source of truth.
• Times are given in Eastern, with the day spelled out. Costs include the fees we could see at checkout.
• Each card shows when we last checked it. If an event is cancelled after publication, we strike it through and note when, rather than deleting it.
• Illustrative or sample events are never presented as real. Format examples are labeled as templates.

History

• We rely first on the institutions that look after a place (the National Park Service, a park's friends group, a museum), then check them against each other.
• Sources are named in the text and listed with links at the end of each story. Direct quotes are marked as quotes.
• When sources disagree, we show both. On Boston Common's acreage, for example, the Park Service and the Freedom Trail Foundation give different figures.
• Every story shows a published date and an updated date.

Images

• Diagrams and illustrations are original unless credited otherwise.
• Photos are ours or used with permission, with a credit. We don't hotlink or reuse other accounts' images.
• We will never present a generated or modern image as an archival photograph.

Corrections log

When we fix a factual error, we note it at the bottom of the page it was on and record it here, with the date and what changed. Small fixes like typos and broken links are corrected without a note.
